NPS' Ear wins Fulbright designation
Assistant professor Sophal Ear of the Naval Postgraduate School has been awarded the designation of senior specialist in political science by the Fulbright Program.
Ear joined the NPS Department of National Security Affairs as an assistant professor in June 2007.
He earned a doctorate in political science from UC Berkeley in 2006, and has master's degrees in agricultural and resource economics and political science from UC Berkeley and public affairs in economics and public policy from Princeton University.
He speaks French, Khmer, Vietnamese and Spanish, and moved to the United States from France as a Cambodian refugee at the age of 10.
